Details of Positions
We are looking for a part-time gymnastics coach who will assist in curriculum-based classes for children between 4 months and 12 years old.
We have a range of hours available for both weekdays and weekends.
If suitable, the successful candidate will also assist in delivering structured classes, birthday parties, and holiday camps at The Little Gym. Instructors responsibilities will include; teaching the best classes, communicating with parents and building relationships, maintaining a clean facility, and light administration work. Instructors work closely with Directors to ensure that children and their parents have the best possible experience at the gym.
What you need
1) A mature attitude.
2) To be open to learning new skills.
3) A desire to help develop and grow the business.
4) To have experience of working with children under 12 years.
5) To not take yourself too seriously and be able to laugh at yourself.
6) To be physically fit - Running around with children all day is demanding!
7) To be organised and have reliable time management skills.
8) To be able to work within a small team.
9) Previous gymnastics, dance, parkour, martial arts, cheer, acrobatics, or equivalent experience.

HEAD COACH (permanent)
Location: Mickleover Gymnastics Club, Derby
Hours: 38 hrs full time
Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 (depending on experience)
To work with Coaching Director and junior coaches to deliver and regularly evaluate gymnastics programmes throughout the club.
To create training plans and monitor, adapt and amend where necessary.
Working alongside and lead other staff and assist in mentoring.
To be able to work with and develop competitive teams within the club.
To communicate and liaise with parents regarding training or any other concerns face to face, phone calls or emails.
To attend and be responsible at events and competitions.
Be responsible for the health & safety of the training facility and the wellbeing of the gymnasts.
To have an active role in the growth and development of the club.
To organise class timetables and staff as required and ensure all classes are covered.
Level 3 coaching qualification with British Gymnastics or UK Gymnastics.
Good technical knowledge of artistic and general gymnastics.
Experience of attending and training for competitions.
Good leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
Must be motivated in coaching style and be able to motivate children of all ages.
Experience in dance and choreography is a bonus but not essential.
DBS Check (current)
First Aid qualification
Minimum of 3yrs experience coaching a range of ages and abilities.
References: Please provide 2 references for character and experience in gymnastics.

The company has recently expanded its offering to children which has been happily received and hugely successful. You will be part of the newly launched Juniors team in the business.
The role of the Coach is to lead and develop small children’s groups, delivering fun, safe and inclusive GYMNASTIC/NINJA sessions, adapting your approach to individual needs. You don't have to be a qualified Gymnast, you must be eager to learn and driven to succeed, and you want to work as part of a team that gives the very best in customer service.

Responsible for ensuring that all relevant policies and procedures are written in the Employee Handbook
